STATEMENT OF FAITH
We believe in the following statements about the Kingdom of God:
A. The reign of God has come into the world through Jesus Christ, (John 3:16-17)
B. All men can and must enter the kingdom of God to be saved, (John 3:3)
C. The Kingdom of God has come to destroy the kingdom of Satan, (John 10:10)
D. The Kingdom of God will be fully established and Satan's kingdom will be eternally destroyed at the second coming of Jesus Christ, (Rev 20:2-3)
We believe the Bible to be given by inspiration of the Holy Spirit, and God's revealed word to man (2 Tim 3:16)
We believe that man is a sinful being in need of redemption (Gen 1:26-31, 3:1-7; Ps 51:5; Ecc 7:29; John 6:44; Rom 5:12-21; 1 Cor 2:14)
We believe that Scripture teaches that there is only one true and living God who has chosen to reveal Himself as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Deut 6:4; Isa 43:10-11; Mat 28:19; Luke 3:22)
We believe in the orthodox doctrine of Jesus Christ:
A. Jesus Christ is one person in whom two natures (deity and humanity) are united.
B. Jesus Christ is truly God and truly man.
C. Jesus Christ is one substance with the Father.
D. Jesus Christ is one substance with humanity, except for the sin nature.
E. Jesus Christ pre-existed with the Father and was born of the Virgin Mary.
F. Jesus Christ is the Son of God.
We believe in the virgin birth of Jesus Christ, that He came to save man from condemnation of sin by offering His blood as an atonement and making it available to all who exercise faith in Him (Mat 1:23; Luke 1:31, 35; John 3:16; 1 Cor 15:3; 2 Cor 5:21)
We believe that for salvation of lost and sinful man, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential (Luke 7:50, 24:47; Rom 10:13-15; 1 Cor 1:18; 2 Cor 2:15; Eph 2:8-9; 2 Tim 1:9; Tit 2:11, 3:5-7).
We believe in the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit whose in dwelling the Christian is enabled to live a holy life (Rom 8:5, Phil 2:12-13; 1 Thess 4:3; 1 John 2:29)
We believe that all mankind is subject to the death of the body as a result of original sin. The soul and spirit do not die, but immediately after death enter into a conscious state of happiness or misery according to the character here possessed by rejection or acceptance of the Savior (Ecc 12:7; Rom 5:12; Phil 1:23).
We believe in the bodily resurrection of both the saved and the lost; the saved to everlasting life and the lost without Christ to everlasting damnation (Mat 24:31-46; Acts 24:15; Rev 22:11).
We believe in the personal, imminent return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (Acts 1:11; 1 Thess 4:13-18).
We believe the redemptive work of Christ on the cross provides healing for the human body in answer to believing prayer (Isa 53:4; Jam 5:14, 15; 1 Pet 2:24).
We Believe all believers are entitled to receive the baptism in the Holy Spirit, and therefore should expect and earnestly seek the promise of the Father, according to the command of our Lord Jesus Christ. This was the normal experience of all believers in the early Christian church. With the experience comes the provision of power for victorious Christian living and productive service. It also provides believers with specific spiritual gifts for more effective ministry. The baptism of Christians in the Holy Spirit is accompanied by the initial physical sign of speaking in other tongues (unlearned languages) as the Spirit of God gives them audible expression. (Luke 24:49; Acts 1:4,8; 2:4; 8:12-17; 10:44-46; 11:14-16; 15:7-9; 1 Cor. 12:1-31)
